Golden temple also known as Harmandir Sahib meaning abode of god is a very popular temple located in Amritsar, Punjab,India. It is known as a holy city of the sikhs [religion]. The pond that you see in front of the famous architecture is holy or sacred water, which has a capacity of 31,000 gallons of water. The temple is made of pure gold. the amount of gold used is around 750 kgs of gold.
